I had my new canvas’ prepared for a good few months before the scum began to reappear on the creek edges again. I decided it must be seasonal, as well as wet weather dependent, and the day it appeared was cause for celebration. This stormy day, the thick dark twiggy sections in the scum were beautiful, but difficult to capture. Here on these prints they create an effect of a dark underbelly below the calm surface.
